Objective - Create a dynamic cultural hub in Leimert Park that can adapt
to the evolving needs of the community and residents, providing flexible
spaces for events, gatherings, and art.
Approach - I designed a modular system with a scaffolding-like grid and
prefabricated wooden pods that can be moved and reconfigured. The
structure includes a recycled wood platform that can be arranged as a stage, catwalk, or gallery space, while the pods have slide-in utilities and
adjustable wooden screens for privacy. This allows the space to be easily modified based on the community’s needs.
Result - The project offers a versatile, adaptable environment that supports a wide range of activities, fostering a vibrant cultural hub in Leimert
Park. The flexible design encourages community engagement and reflects the area’s dynamic spirit.
